Welcome to Saasany
Saasany is a production-ready Next.js starter template built for developers who want to launch AI-powered SaaS products without spending weeks on boilerplate. With built-in authentication, payments, AI integration, and internationalization, you can go from zero to a fully functional product in a single weekend.
This guide walks you through the essential steps to get your project running locally and deploy it to production.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have Node.js 18 or later installed, along with accounts for the services Saasany integrates with: a database provider (we recommend Neon for serverless Postgres), Stripe for payments, an OpenAI-compatible API key for AI features, and Resend for transactional emails.
Clone the repository, copy the .env.example file to .env.local, and fill in your credentials. The environment variable names are self-explanatory and each one has an inline comment explaining its purpose.
Running Locally
Install dependencies with npm install, then run the database migrations with npm run db:push. Start the development server with npm run dev. Your app will be available at http://localhost:3000.
The project supports two locales out of the box — English (/en) and Chinese (/zh). Switching between them is handled automatically by next-intl through the locale-aware routing. You can add more locales by editing src/i18n/config.ts and creating the corresponding message file under src/i18n/messages/.
Deploying to Production
Saasany is designed to be deployed on Vercel with zero configuration. Push your code to GitHub, connect the repository to a new Vercel project, add your environment variables in the Vercel dashboard, and click deploy. The entire process takes under five minutes.
Once deployed, head to your Stripe dashboard to set up webhook endpoints so subscription events are forwarded to your app. The webhook handler is already in place at /api/webhooks/stripe — you just need to point Stripe at your production URL.
